Tech Pack Template

WHAT IS A TECH PACK & WHY DO I NEED ONE?

A Tech pack is in short is like your manufacturing bible. It is an important manufacturing tool to ensure you do not lose time, or money or are left with costly mistakes during your development process.

In the first instance, a Tech pack will be used to get quotations from your manufacturers to start the sampling development process. Most of the professional factories I work with say “ No tech pack, No quote” and this is a common industry standard for most manufacturers.

Once you have selected your factory they will use the pack as a blueprint for your sample production, as it contains all the necessary components required to successfully manufacture your product (as long as you have covered all of the required information).

With this essential tool to hand and after your samples have been approved, you can document any changes or modifications directly in the tech-pack to avoid having multiple email threads of communication regarding changes to your design.

This Template Kit includes:

  • A detailed, industry-standard tech pack template that allows you to efficiently communicate your design, fabric, colour, make and specifications to your manufacturer.

  • A complimentary dummy tech-pack template to show you how to fill in each page.

  • A comprehensive user manual explaining the terminology and how to use the template

IMPORTANT:
This template is created in Microsoft Excel and an understanding of how to use Excel by either you or someone on your team is required.  We do not offer technical support for navigating Microsoft Excel or adjusting the template to suit your version of Excel.
